About the artist: Darrin Davis, known professionally as DDPresents, was born in Portland, Oregon, and raised in Camas, Washington. His passion for music began in 7th grade, when he joined his school choir and began performing solos. In 8th grade, he started experimenting with music production using the free software Audacity. This is where he first learned the basics of EQ and compression. Around this time, he launched a YouTube channel, which he ran through his sophomore year of high school. The channel gained over 6 million views and 25,000 subscribers, featuring original music and video content. This period also marked his early experience with photography and videography using a Nikon D5500. In high school, Davis began using FL Studio to produce music and started collaborating with local artists in the Camas area. Over the next few years, he completed more than 200 songs, building a solid reputation in the local music scene. After turning 21, he enrolled at the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences (CRAS) in Gilbert, Arizona. At CRAS, he received hands-on training in studio engineering, live sound, post-production, music business, and sound design. He also became proficient in Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and more advanced audio tools. During his time at CRAS, Davis interned at Demŭn Studios in Phoenix, Arizona. There, he assisted with recording sessions and captured behind-the-scenes content with his Nikon D5500.
